Edgware Road Station Control Room – 2007
Tim O’Tool (former Managing Director of London Underground) asked Voice Perfect to assist in the build of an additional Station Control Room at Edgware Road Station. The new control room required duplication of all the functionality of the existing Stations Operations Room and also needed interface connections to the existing equipment. This would ensure system priority management and prevention of announcement conflict from each system. Voice Perfect designed, delivered and installed the client based SCAS-Metro DVA system.
Mike Brough (CCTV) and Gordon Arthur (public address) were the engineers in charge and were praised by London Underground for getting the work completed in record time. They both said it was a joint effort and couldn’t have been achieved without the full support of all contractors involved including IESS (CCTV), DLO (PA) and Voice Perfect (suppliers of the digital voice announcer & integration).
